Position Summary:The Access Management Specialist (AMS) provides key system access services for the JISD Enterprise Applications team. The successful candidate is responsible for managing and maintaining the access controls and policies that govern user access to information systems, applications, and data, and for working with vendors to establish application security protocols. This includes creating and managing user accounts, assigning access permissions, and ensuring that access policies are followed. The AMS is also responsible for monitoring user activity and enforcing security policies to prevent unauthorized access.
Supervision Received:The Access Management Specialist reports to the Deputy Chief Information Officer for Enterprise Applications or his/her designee and receives general direction in performing duties in accordance with established guidelines.
Duties: User Access Provisioning: Manage the process of granting and revoking user access rights based on defined policies and procedures. This includes creating user accounts, assigning appropriate roles and permissions, and ensuring compliance with access policies.
Monitor user behavior and implement security policies to prevent unauthorized access.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
Work closely with IT teams to integrate access management systems with other systems and applications.
Provide technical support and training to end-users on access management systems and related technologies.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in access management and recommend improvements to our systems and processes.
Establish standards, policies, and procedures for the specification, design, implementation, operation, support, and documentation of all aspects of Access Management within the MassCourts Enterprise Applications, on-premises and in the cloud.
Support others in analyzing and resolving particularly difficult problems involving either access management or other system issues.
Proactively identify opportunities for system improvement, cost savings, process improvement, and training.
Lead the automation of repetitive tasks and provide scalable solutions that eliminate manual intervention.

Minimum Requirements: These are the minimum requirements necessary to apply for the position of Access Management Specialist:
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) from an accredited institution of higher education with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field with a minimum of five years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on access management OR tenor more years working insystems administration, with a focus on access management.
Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and other access management systems on premise and cloud-based technologies.
Strong technical skills in scripting and automation.
Familiarity with access management tools and technologies such as user provisioning, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Understanding of authentication protocols and standards (e.g., LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
Experience supporting users in production and non-production systems.
Ability to work effectively alone and as a member of a team.
Ability to perform tasks as directed by management.
Experience preparing technical documentation.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively with
technical and non-technical people at all levels of the organization.
Ability to properly rank competing work priorities and to work efficiently to fulfill those priorities in a timely manner.
Experience with operating systems like Unix/Linux and Windows.
ITIL V3 or ITIL V4 certification is a plus.
